Are you a skilled and compassionate psychologist with a deep commitment to rehabilitation and forensic psychology? Florida Civil Commitment Center, a pioneer in the field, is seeking a dedicated professional to join our multidisciplinary team in the critical role of Psychologist specializing in working with Sexually Violent Predators.

As aPsychologist, the primary role involves conducting comprehensive assessment services to individualsdesignatedas Sexually Violent Predators. They are an active member of the treatment team andprovidestaff education on psychological issues, and consultation to the treatment teams. Additionally, theymaintainaccurateand complete documentation of clinical services and attend meetings to ensure continuity and coordination of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive assessments and evaluations for Sexually Violent Predators toassistin treatment planning.

  • ProvidesAnnual Treatment Progress Reviews to the Courts and serves as a consultant to the multidisciplinary teams and Clinical Leadership.

  • Conducts diagnostic testing andprovidesexpert testimony, including Baker Act evaluations and court-ordered evaluations.

  • Providessupervision and training to psychology post-doctoral fellows and new employees as needed.

  • Offers competency training to individuals who have beendeemedIncompetent to Proceed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology from an Accredited University.

Experience

  • Experience in a correctional and/or forensic environment highly desirable.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Ability to become licensed within one year of hire.
