How you make a difference
The Occupational Therapist will identify, assess, treat and supervise the treatment of patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, psychological and social dysfunction.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations using standard tools, considering factors such as age, gender, cultural background, and medical status, to determine individuals' functional abilities and occupational performance issues.
Establish clear, measurable, behavioral, and functional goals and recommendations based on assessment results, tailored to meet the unique needs, personal goals, and expected outcomes of individuals following interventions.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members during team meetings to ensure efficient coordination of care.
Develop, document, and implement individualized and group occupational therapy and rehabilitation treatment programs based on the specific needs and interests of assigned caseload.
Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Master’s degree or greater in occupational therapy.
Experience
- Experience in a psychiatric hospital or correctional facility is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
- Holds and maintains permanent license as an Occupational Therapist, Registered
